EXPECTATIONS & COMMITMENTS

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE INITIAL INTAKE:

The initial session serves as both an intake appointment and an introduction to your therapist. During this time, your therapist will review your intake paperwork, explore the reasons for your visit, explain their therapeutic approach, and answer any questions. The goal is to establish a treatment plan and set therapy goals together. Additionally, the intake appointment includes scheduling future sessions or referrals to other professionals if needed.

NO-SHOW & CANCELLATION POLICY:

Therapy is a time commitment and investment made for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please contact me via phone, email or client portal at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid the $120 late cancellation/missed appointment fee.

After two (2) back-to-back “untimely cancellations” or “no shows”, you will be discharged from the practice as a client and provided a list of referrals.

Our therapists will try our best to cancel within one business day of the scheduled appointment, however, things may arise that could prevent us from doing so. As your therapist, we have the right to cancel and re-schedule at any time, with or without reasonable notice due to the nature of our job and sometimes dealing with crisis from other clients that may be unexpected.

Missed appointment fees are equivalent to the scheduled service. If you miss your appointment that day/late cancel, the price is the same.

If you are running behind, simply text or email our office directly.

WHAT IF IT’S NOT WORKING?

Our commitment is to ensure a supportive and effective therapeutic relationship between our clients and our therapists. If at any point you feel that the therapeutic dynamic is not aligning as expected, we strongly encourage open communication directly with your therapist. Often, perceived challenges may stem from miscommunications that can be resolved through honest dialogue. Upholding authenticity and transparency throughout our therapeutic process is paramount.

Should you find it necessary, your therapist is equipped to facilitate referrals to other qualified professionals in the area who may better suit your needs. It's essential to recognize that therapy is a collaborative journey, requiring active participation both within and outside the sessions. Your dedication and engagement in this process significantly contribute to its success.
